Residents living in or near Dupage County have the advantage of living close to several special events in Chicago’s western suburban area, one of which being the 56th annual Fine Art Festival at Oakbrook Center.
This year, the Fine Art Festival will feature art through the mediums of painting and photography, jewelry, fashion, glass and functional art created by around 70 select artists.
Artists
A noteworthy collection being showcased at the festival will be Stewart Rein Photography. Rein, a self-taught photographer, has a stunning array of landscape and city-scape pieces from all over the US, the Caribbean, Western Europe, and parts of the Middle East. Rein’s collection includes framed prints, canvas prints, cutting boards, and note cards.
Another featured artist at the event will be Jennifer Hiser. Hiser combines color and her one-of-a-kind craftsmanship to create unique hand-painted designs on various pieces of furniture for children. Her work includes an assortment of flowers on a vintage Ethan Allen nightstand, dinosaur artwork on a kid-sized rocking chair, and a colorful lion painting on a thick canvas.
Festival attendees can also look forward to jewelry by Tiffany Piazza, impressionist pieces by Julie J Latayan, amongst many other talented artists.
Venue
The Fine Art Festival will be held at Chicagoland’s favorite outdoor shopping mall, Oakbrook Center. Oakbrook Center houses many prominent department stores, exceptional restaurants, and even a cinema.
